Monthly Meeting 02/02/2010

1-Meeting called to order by Vice President Brad Furlon at 7:15

2-Reading of previous meeting minutes by Tim Keating, MM&S..AIF

3-Reading of the names of new members by Tim Keating 22 new members, MM&S..AIF

4-Reading of Treasurers Report by Derrick Wissman, MM&S..AIF

5-Reading of Monthly bills by Derrick Wissman. A motion was made with all in favor to have Derrick pay all monthly bills

6-Club Events:

1- Super Bowl Poker run scheduled for Sun. Feb.6th will be held. Reg. 11-12, members to bring a dish, club will supply burgers, dogs rolls etc.. Flagged ride to start and end at the Whitcomb summit.

2- Bruisers Run scheduled for Feb 13th. Registration between 8 and 11 with a flagged ride ( based on snow conditions) Start at Martins field ( on Blackstone Rd.) and ending at the Depot Tavern in Monroe. Food will be available . Donation of 10.00 requested per rider.

3- All Hot Mommas Ride scheduled for Feb21st. All proceeds to benefit the National Breast Cancer Society. Registration at 10 Am at the Whitcomb Summit, Arrowed ride will end at the Summit. Food and Raffle at conclusion of ride. Long and Short Sleeve Tees available ( 20 and 16 each). In addition…Cancer Walk team is being formed “Mountaineers for a Cure” A motion was made and seconded with all in favor to donate the sum of $200.00 for the cause. Also Big Brothers and Sisters will be sponsoring a bowling tournament to raise funds. Contact Jill Keating for more info.

4-Fat Bastard Memorial Ride scheduled for Feb 27th at Hanks Camp. Reg. between 8-and 11. Arrowed ride. Shirts and Tees (150 mixture, Tees and sweats) to be ordered by Lou Zelazo. Members to haul in pallet wood, Meeting to be held at the Summit on Feb. 12th to discuss on going issues in regards to ride planning.

7-Unfinished Business:
A-Equipment Maintenance/repairs.
1-Bombi drag repairs are on going, Merit to work on as time is available.
2-MogulMaster Drag. On-going

3-Thikol Carb Repair. All set, float was repaired and unit is in use.

4-Bombi Differential. Still working but very noisy, we will nurse through the season and repair at a later date

B- Trail Trims/Bridge repairs?
1-Gate installation Flat Rock. On- going
2-NorthRoad Beaver Dam- It was discussed and agreed that we would try and bridge the lower section with pallets in order to get the Bombi through.
3-Pixis trail upgrade- We will look into possible reroute around the worse section

C-Put bid in on National Grid LMC during auction (Spring 2010) On-going

D-Look into possible purchase of Piston Bully from Prospect Mt. Ski Area- It was discussed and agreed that we would look into this further in the spring when the unit is more accessible.

E-Club Merchandise? All set, Louie to check on and pick up merchandise

F-Santa Fund Donation-On- going

8-New Business:
1- We need to give all of Our Trail intersections Numbers, and submit them to SAM before February, in order to participate in grooming reimbursement for 2010 season. Example: Intersections will be marked FL-1, FL-2, FL-3 etc. etc. etc., these #s have to be put on Our Club map, and be given to SAM. All set, Mark will e-mail Craig Warner to insure that SAM has everything that they need.

2- Need Club representative for this Thursday’s SAM Meeting in Springfield Newmie will attend. It was discussed and agreed that we would also purchase two more books of trail passes
3- Club Charter Review- The committee will meet and review the Charter. Any recommended changes will be submitted and voted on by the membership at the next scheduled meeting in March

9-Anything Else? Thank you Notes were received from the Berkshire Food Bank and the Sumner Family.
Club donations and trail work totals need to be submitted to SAM before 3-1-10 in order for club to receive the $100.00 Home Depot Card. M.Rosenburg to send.
